For all of us who attended the taping last year and those who would like to see the program, here is the schedule. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like it will be airing any place other than here in Louisville. The website is S2Sradio.com if you'd like to contact them and find out if this show will air anywhere outside of Louisville.

Hey Terry, what is Channel 98? It's been over 3 years since I lived there and I forgot! I don't suppose you'd consider taping one of the times for a former Louisvillian would ya?

Channel 98 is a public access and informational channel here in the Ville.
I was surprised that it's not going to be airing on something like The Faith Channel (ch-19) which is a local station that airs FamilyNet and EWTN at times.
I do have an email into the guys at Soul2Soul to see if this will be airing elsewhere.
As far as making a copy of the show, I could probably manage this since I work at a TV station.
I'm going to try dubbing a VHS and DVD copy. If it turns out OK I'll see if I can make a few dubs from the DVD.
It also depends on how good the feed is from the cable company. I'll be getting it off air like everyone else, unless I can convince one of my ole buddies from Insight to make me a dub directly from the air master.

I'd love to have that myself.
Terry, if you could tape it - we could find someone to transfer it to mpeg or whatever format and host it on jws.com (if Soul2Soul wouldn't mind!)

So, Terry, did you see it/record it? How was it? Did it look as impressive as it did live?
Don't leave us hanging!

Yes...I did see and record it on VHS and DVD-R.
The overall production was OK (not the greatest), and John sounded a bit strained at times (but they did have a very hectic touring schedule, so that's to be expected).
Overall, it gets a thumbs up from me just because our boys were being honored.
They did leave out one of the songs they played that night (Lord I lift Your Name On High) and the album/CD compilation, but it was still good to see them having fun.
Soul2Soul is planning on doing the ceremony again in August of this year at Okolona Christian Church in Shepherdsville, KY. I don't know who the honorees are yet, but since it won't be Petra, I probably won't go this time (unless it's someone I can't miss like Phil Keaggy or Michael Card).
And as a side note...

I still haven't heard from the S2S people to see if it would be OK to add it to John's website, but I figure I could get you a copy when you get back from vacation--just in case they go for it.
Plus, I bet you'd like to see it for your own personal interest.

Man, John is right, "Lord I Lift Your Name" really is the stepchild. It got left off the Farewell CD, the DVD and now the Soul2Soul Honors. That's a shame. It was actually much better than "We Need Jesus". I think they put it at the end thinking the rest of the honorees would sing along, but virtually none of them did. They just stood there like Petra was singing in Chinese or something.
