Hi everybody! I made it here now! I love Petra!!! Jekyll & Hyde rawks!!! Oh, and I dig the new format (with a shovel!).

well, I`m not that oldie, I arrive to the cccm message board and a year later we moved to the zone.com.

Was it always about just PETRA? Was that the reason it moved to thepetrazone.com in the first place?

Why dosn't someone restart CCCM again for general CCM topics?

the old ccm chat was officially closed, there were many parts for many bands not just petra. then somebody came with ccmchat.com where there are many boards for different bands, including petra. then someone said we deserved our own place and cory made thepetrazone.com

now that I think about it, I arrived to the old ccm website not the new one.

What a blast from the past that was!

The Petra Zone is still part of my daily routine, but it's awfully quiet these days.

Still check in often. I'm glad this place is still around. Who would have thought a group like this would exist 48 years after Petra was formed... I was too young to follow them when they were still together; I was surprised when I found the Petra zone and realized it was still active 17 years after their last album

Hey Susannah! I check in every two days or so in case somebody posts something. I hope this website stays up for a long time, cause y'all are AWESOME!!!!

I don't check in much any more... I SHOULD, since I'm paying for the domain! lol
But really, there isn't anything new to talk about, other than the reunion show rescheduled to Oct. 18

Yeah, I still check in pretty regularly. Wish there was more activity here, but I think this is still probably the largest and most active Petra forum on the world wide web. I've been a member of the Zone since at least 1997 or 1998 (my current registration date reflects a time when the forum software was updated, and we had to reregister -- do I have that right? Or am I thinking of another forum?). A lot more active members back then. I remember we all had a big online listening party when God Fixation was released, where we listened to the album on our own and talked about all things Petra in a live chatroom. It was a cool experience.

And just for fun, here's my oldest post on this version of the Zone from October 12, 2003 (17 years ago!):

No more compilation albums. If people want Petra's old stuff then they should buy the albums and not Word or StarSong cash-in products.

And I, too, don't understand the meaning behind "Petra Still Means War" because as far as I know, Petra never meant "war"!

I'm a long time Zone member...Since about 2001 I think. I check in occasionally to see what others are posting and to see if there are concerts or album releases planned, but I don't post that often anymore. I agree with Sue there isn't a lot to post about. I do miss the old days...Some of those posts back in the day were pretty wild.
