What are you listening too
Now that Petra is not around anymore. Besides listening to what Petra has put out over the years. Who else are you all listening to....

proud to say the king of parodies lives on in my den
Weird Al, man. I have all of his 11 studio albums now. With a few minor exceptions (like "Genius in France"), his wacky lyrics are fantastic.

Well...
Right now I'm listening to the sound of my arteries hardening as I get older by the minute!
Actually, I'm listening to:
Audio Adrenaline: Until My Heart Caves In
Petra: Farewell
Relient K: MMHMM
John Reuben: The Boy vs The Cynic
Thousand Foot Krutch: Phenomenon
Thousand Foot Krutch: The Art of Breaking
In the near future I'll be listening to:
Michael Card: The Hidden Face of God
And hopefully in the near, near future I'll be watching:
Petra: Farewell DVD
AND...
not to slight any of the other artists I'm listening to right now, but I REALLY MISS the unambiguous, biblical message Petra put into EVERY ONE of their songs! There's just something lacking with a lot of today's music. Not that we should be substituting music and entertainment for a real relationship with God through prayer, worship and reading of the Word, but Petra really seemed to keep everything in perspective.
A lot of today's groups are really good at musicianship and energy, but very ambiguous when it comes to mentioning "the reason for the hope that lies within them."

This makes me realize I've been too tired to listen to much lately...
Maybe I'll buy some of the albums on my wishlist at CD universe as it's about time to hear something new (to me). I still can't afford Screamin and Hollerin the Blues, so maybe I'll break down and buy the JSP set.
Then I'll be listening to Charley Patton.

Well considering I have over 200+ albums on my ipod. Aside from listening to the Petra and G X Volz albums thru out the polls I'm conducting. I'm currently listening to Kenny Marks. Kevin Max will probably be next. Just last week I was listening to a little ELO.
Newest group on my list. Switchfoot, and Third Day. I just got a few switchfoot albums. Third Day I've had a while but just never took the time to sit down and really listen to them. Plus I've been thinking of going thru "Whitecross" again. But I've been busy with other things.

Well, maybe not too original, but besides Petra, how about John Schlitt?!Now that Petra is not around anymore. Besides listening to what Petra has put out over the years. Who else are you all listening to....
I also just bought the Live Worship CD from Newsong. I was really impressed when I saw them at the Soul2Soul Honors in Louisville in August. And, I'm listening to Farewell June.
On the secular front, Head East (surprise there, eh?), Keith Urban, and I dragged out an old Burton Cummings CD the other day.
