Seems like almost all my favorite bands have retired (Petra, Five Iron Frenzy, Sixpence None the Richer, Supertones, Audio Adrenaline, etc).

So I went looking for new music. I found a site that has links to a bunch of legit free MP3s. That was perfect for me to sample all different kinds of stuff. The link is http://www.geocities.com/ccmsingles/mp3.html

Anyway, I ended up discovering Tree63 (from Inpop, no less). Their music is awesome. I got 3 of their MP3s and loved every one, then I went and bought the "Worship Volume One" album, which is also great.

There are some other new bands I want to check out, namely Roper (which is an obvious choice because of the connection to FIF).

Other new albums I just got which I am digging: Relient K's "Mmhmm" and especially Jars of Clay's "Redemption Songs."

Sounds like me. Most of the groups I listened to have pretty much retired (or got rather uninteresting). When I do manage to find someone I like they usually end up splitting or retiring.

Rinse, repeat, recycle..

You all need to listen too these 2 bands; They are really great.

1. Decyfer Down-Produced by Jim Cooper & Tony Palacois
2. Jonah 33- created and formed by Dana Key, he also wrote some music for them and played some guitar on their first release.

Besides Petra I've been listening to Glass Harp's Canagie Hall album....LOVE IT!

I listen to Third Day. Petra Glass Harp and some occasional Harvest(thats going back a few years LOL) Kutless now and than. I perfer Classic Christian music over these new watered down modern bands. I also like a lot of southern Gospel.

As far as seculer music goes I like old bluegrass and country tunes and some folk songs but thats about it.

Yesterday I picked up the new Michael Sweet album. Not at all what I expected musically but still very good. More of a worship album than what he has put out before. Titled "Him."
