I have returned to the happy cocoon of the www!

I just stumbled across the myspace for a group called Slings & Arrows and have been listening to that for most of the day. Only four songs, but they are all enjoyable, even when played repeatedly, which I am terrible for doing (When my brother got me a set of wireless headphones for Christimas one year, I realized just how terrible).

I also wonder what BriguyPEI thinks of the latest Sloan album. I don't like it as well as Action Pact, but I've only had it a few days and maybe I need to let it grow on me.

Petra-Jekyll & Hyde 8)

Why is it I always find myself driving a little faster than usual whenever I have this cd on in the car? Oooh, my neck hurts from headbanging so hard!

What am I listening to?

1. A bunch of praise songs for possible inclusion in our church service
2. A mixed CD in my car with Newsboys, Kutless, Switchfoot, Superchick, Jars of Clay, and a couple other artists - but no Petra (wife doesn't like them).
3. Shine.fm (89.7 for those in the Chicago/South Suburban/Northwest Indiana area)
4. Air1 (88.1 in Champaign, where I live now)
5. Lots of bands that are still around...Kutless and Newsboys mainly, then Jars of Clay (new album, Good Monsters, rocks), Audio Adrenaline, some Switchfoot.
6. If my wife isn't in the car (or I am listening to my IPod) - LOTS of Petra - still - from all eras except the "original" one (actually, I don't listen to much of my Petra music before "MPTY")
7. In the late summer/fall only - Drum Corps International and various marching bands while volunteering with a local HS marching band before school starts (won't be able to volunteer this next summer, though)...

Yesterday I got Disciple's new album, "Scars Remain". It is awesome!

The song, "Game On", was chosen to be the theme song for a WWE pay per view event, "Cyber Sunday" as well as playing on ESPN's NFL Live!

Fans of J&H may like this, but if Petra's Praise series is more your preference, Scars Remain may be too hard.
