I'll mention this briefly here, and Sue will probably jump in with more details... we have a new video of John's testimony up at JohnWSchlitt.com. It's pretty large, though, so be prepared for a long download!

Sure, I'll jump in!

This is from a very intimate benefit concert from June 13, 2002 up in St. Cloud, MN. You can find it here:

http://www.johnwschlitt.com/testimonies.htm

While most of you have read John's testimony in one form or another, now you have a chance to see and hear how very powerful a speaker John is.

I have heard John talk many times about his life, but this is one of the most moving testimonies I've heard. He is very open and honest about his drug and alcohol abuse, shares his feelings and thinking while considering suicide, and tells of the grace of God as he was saved and brought into a new life.

I've wanted to have something like this on the site for a loooong time, and now finally it's here, thanks to a wonderful Pethead who took my VHS copy of my VHS-C tape and converted it to .mpg.

It's a 20 minute video that does take a bit to download, but folks - it's worth it.

THIS is why I do what I do for John - while selling records, making websites and booking concert is important - (you DO have to make a living) - it's MORE important for me to SHOW PEOPLE how the Lord has worked in and changed one man's life - and how He can work in yours too, if you open up and let Him in.

That guy's testimony is awesome--I'm gonna have to check it out. It is so amazing to see what God's done in John's life. :)

No way that's finishing before I have to go to bed. That is one MASSIVE download.

Wait a sec, that's like 10 megs in the time it took me to finish this message...okay, maybe it'll finish in time. It takes courage to be open and honest like that-John is a very special person.

Many were moved during that concert! John has a powerful testimony and it's so important for us all to share our testimonies to tell people that there is a better way.

For some it's so important to hear how a guy from the drinking/drug scene can have his life changed so drastically and to see how God has used his gift of singing to touch lives.

Some of us may not have a testimony that's from that kind of life, some have even experienced more pain than John, but EVERY testimony is equally impacting lives, because the people we share them with do come from different backgrounds and we can touch them all, with each testimony that's different from another's......

I just had to plug that in, because many times I have said "I wish I'd have such a powerful testimony as John's"....but you know what? I've learned through the music ministry/concerts we've done this summer and fall that we all have a testimony that will touch somebody and help them to see that Jesus is real.
God uses each and every one of us and our different testimonies, never forget that!
