The Petra Zone

Hey... I guess today's the day for the release of The Ultimate Collection! Someone (from the Zone, I think) clued me in on something... the version of the cover that I had posted was WRONG! It was an early version which had to be reworked because it had an album cover on it that was not represented by songs on the CD. So I've replaced it with the correct version.

I wish I was going to have the time to go out at lunch and see a copy (or buy one!)... I'm in the middle of a project that I'm kind of crunching on. I can't wait to read Bob's liner notes!

You know, it's always given me a little chuckle to know that on the Early years CD John doesn't sing even one of the songs, yet he is on the cover.

The picture's worth it though for John's yellow jacket!

WHOA!!!!! I've called around and everyone is selling the UC for $21.99. That is very steep for my budget. I don't know if I will get it until it makes it to the used CD store.

Enosh...yeah, THE EARLY YEARS compliation really bugs me...more than all the other former labels' cash-grabs. They put a photo of Petra with John Schlitt on the cover in a deliberate attempt to mislead people. If some new fan didn't know that John didn't sing on those songs, and bought it because he thought John did, that fan would be ticked (and rightfully so).
