Help Wanted - John's Audio Testimony!

I'm wondering if anyone out there has a GOOD audio copy of John's testimony.

Everything I have is on video, which is not good enough quality to air on Focus on the Family.

Yes, Focus on the Family Radio is in the process of considering John to be a part of their broadcast. I've cleared the first hurdle; they've responded with what they want, and now I am coming up to a wall, because what I have is video, not quality audio.

I'm told that only 1 out of 200 submitted tapes actually ever airs, but with lots of prayers to the Lord, I do believe John is going to be that 1. God is opening some doors with things that haven't happened before, namely appearing on Life Today television, and now Focus on the Family is interested. Inroads to Promise Keepers is in the works also.... this summer the real push begins.

Anyway, I'm needing at least a 20 minute speaking block of time, which he usually does during his solo concerts when he gives his story.

If nothing else, John will be doing a concert on May 27, and we could have the soundman record it at that time.

So if ANYONE has anything recorded (must be live, before an audience), PLEASE let me know!

Seperating the audio from that video clip with John's testimonty oughta be easy and somebody like brent should be able to tweak it enough to make it acceptable radio quality.

well, the problem is that the video was shot in VHS-C format, which means the tapes are only 30 mins long, which means there is a BREAK in the talking when I switch tapes.

As soon as I get some cash, I'm going digital! (but long live film SLRs!)

Seriously, Focus on the Family said there isn't a rush, so I think we'll have to go with taping the WA concert on May 27... and when that time comes, people, we'll really need to pray that John is so filled with the Holy Spirit that what he says will be so moving that thousands of people will need to hear it - through Focus on the Family.

...Got at least 13 mins of him ;-)

It's pretty cool that there's opportunity for John's testimony to be on Focus on the Family...I've heard his testimony many times, and it still amazes me what God has done in his life every time I hear it.

I didn't know you had that, trodlan! mind if I borrow that for jws.com?

I don't think it'll work for Focus, though... too short. They want at LEAST 20 mins. But thank you for bringing it up!

I have a feeling that since this May 27 show will be the first one that John has done since Petra has retired, that he'll have a LOT to say - and it'll be real good. Maybe that's why God isn't letting me have anything pre-recorded already... He's getting John ready to say things that will really impact people even moreso than before - nationwide, via Focus on the Family program.

I do belive this is the case.

I thought you had a 20 minute mpeg video testimony up on your site? That was the one I was referring to when I responded.

Send me the tapes and I can assemble it all in Pro Tools. Piece of cake.

Brent, you can deal with VHS-C that is starting to skip? The audio is rather muffled, since it was taped in a church and it was echoing.

I'm a little nervous about sending originals through the mail... I DO have this particular testimony on the website as a video:

http://www.johnschlitt.net/testimonies.htm

Could you do something with that?

Elo, I still have those originals - thanks anyway!

Just put it in the mail and mark it "Nuclear material, do not x-ray".
