Does anyone know why Pete Orta left the band and what he is doing now?

He left because Word gave him a solo contract, but I really don't know if he is still with Word or even in CCM anymore. As far as I know he only made one solo album with them.

He's not performing, but as of late, he was writing/producing for Jaci Valsquez (sp?).

He played in Jaci's band for a short while after he left Petra, I believe, before the solo album.

According to Wikipedia, Pete Orta is still alive.

The majority of the former band members left because Petra simply wasn't touring enough for them to support their families. I saw Pete in concert with Petra two or three times...He's a wonderful guitarist and quite a character.
