John's Personal Video Archive

Post by fcollazo » Sat May 20, 2006 10:51 pm

Hey Sue, at the end of the Revival DVD they list the concert and TV appereance footage used as coming from John's, Bob's and Louie's personal archives. Do you think John would give you his footage for posting on his website, or could they make a copilation for sale like an Anthology like The Beatles did? At last year's Tampa concert i had a lengthy conversation with Bob about available footage and he told me he had thought about bundling together these videos for sale. It seems to me that on John's website there are only bootlegs, being it his official website, tough i like them too. Please Advise.

I know it says that at the end of the video, but John doesn't have any 'secret' videos or anything. In fact, in the past I've asked him if he had this and that, and he's said if anyone would have it - it would be me! lol!

So the bootlegs are the best I can do at this point. Sorry!

John's Personnal Archive

I am sorry, but i find it very hard to believe that John would not save for posterity any footage, videos, audio etc. after being the Lead Singer for the greatest Christian Rock Band of all time for 20 years. He never took Petra lightly, he is very proud of the work in Petra that saved his life and gave him meaning in life! Bob told me he had a lot of footage too. I mean Petra is almost like The Beatles at a lower scale, and they were interviewed, photographed and filmed live probably more than any other Christian Rock act in their 33 years. It is sad that fans still want to keep the Petra spirit alive, and would buy previously unreleased material like other bands have done with some success, but we do not ger that.

I hope , John, Bob, Louie or Greg X. Volz read the Zone more and provide fans with more memories, specially for the ones like me that never saw them live until 1995.
