The Petra Zone

Hey guys,

If you've been reading my prior posts, you'll know that I'm bringing John and Bob to Sheboygan, WI on New Year's Eve for a very special acoustic concert.

Now we've decided to expand that further and are now booking across the country for the month of December only!

Before anyone jumps the gun - no, this is not a Petra reunion, nor are there any plans for such. It's just a way to bring back two of the best in Christian music - in a very unique way.

Please - talk to your churches, your pastors, your friends - pass this email around to anyone you know who would be interested in hosting this limited special event!


"John Schlitt and Bob Hartman of Petra in an Intimate Evening of Acoustic Music and Personal Testimony."

In order to make this a truly unique event, we are booking for the month of December only. This would be the first time the duo will perform together since Petra's retirement - exactly a year ago.

The set would consist of classic Petra songs, praise music, and sharing of testimonies and stories from the past by both John and Bob.

Promoters would be responsible for travel, production, meals and lodging.

What a Christmas present for Petra fans. Bob and John together again. It would be awesome to be a part of such an event.

Jeffrey, maybe YOU can be part of it. Great things start with small ideas... and sometimes dreams do come true. Pray on it - you never know where it might lead.

So all you California Petheads, I talked to Pastor Mike Reed and he�s very excited about having Bob & John back in Oceanside!

I also talked to the owner of a Christian bookstore who will possibly help sponsor another concert in Orange County the same weekend if it can be arranged!

Seriously, the response to this has been excellent! So far, we're looking at a concert in AZ, CA, NC, WI, IN... with more checking into the possibilities.

When you're working with churches, things tend to move slowly. So to have this many committing already is a very, very good sign.

Thank you to all who have helped spread the word - and to those of you who haven't - PLEASE DO SO!

Hopefully Florida will be added to that list soon. I passed the booking info along to our Worship Pastor and he was grinning from ear to ear at the possibility of hosting Bob and John. He said it would depend on the cost and how much money there is in the worship budget. I have had quite a few people said that they will definitely attend if it happens. Then everyone can visit Florida in December when the weather is great!

Does anyone Know if one of these shows will be professionally recorded and released?

I sure would love to see it happen.... as of now there are no plans, but that could certainly change.

Get a concert set up in the Kansas City area and Brent and Co. would probably do it. Or is it Oklahoma City. Brent, where are you anyway?

Sue...I have a question.

Will Petra/John Schlitt merchandise be sold at these concerts (CDs, T-shirts, etc.)? I need to replace my John Schlitt SHAKE CD, plus I wouldn't mind buying a couple more T-shirts.
