The Petra Zone

Hi All

I happen to think Petra is the best Christian Rock Band both past and present. And yes i know this is a Petra message base and I'm supposed to say that, no I just feel that way period. I have voiced this and have written my opinions about Petra in other message forums.

I like Bob's and John's philosophy on what the Petra stands for and what they think the job of the band is. Prefreably calling it a ministry first and a band second. I have had numerous opportunnities to use Petra songs to minister to people. Seems as thou there was just the right song for the type of situation i faced.

Bob is a very talented and gifted musician/ song writter. In my opinion I believe he has a strong connection with God. It shows in his songs. In how he can take a verse in the Bible and create a song from it. Bob has always had a strong Biblical foundation with his songs. I love that.

Petra has also helped me. Many of thier songs have ministered and helped me through times. Songs that really speak to me.

Way to go Petra! Godbless Petra and the etended Petra family..

It was a post worth re-stating, even if it's 4 years old.

LOL...That threw me for a minute, leave it to Jonathan. It's a good post, but Rich (Outcast) and David (Lexington) haven't posted here for ages, and Rich had a different user name the last time he posted.

I wonder how those guys are doing?
