Somethig new in 2004?

Post by blod6ett » Tue Jan 06, 2004 12:32 am

I'm just watching the official page of Petra, PETRABAND, and in the secction 'History' they have the cover of every album of Petra and the year of the released of that album, for example: 74: PETRA; 77: Come and join us... 82: More Power to ya; 90: Beyond Belief; ETC.
And, PETRABAND marks THIS YEAR, 2004, with an alarming note: COMING SOON.

PETRA will be released a new album or collection CD on this year?
I don't Know.
Anybody know?

Hmm, I don't see the "comming soon." Am I blind?

I assume they'll be releasing the Spanish version of J&H this year. Anyone heard a date yet?

...and some of the albums they do have are slightly out of order (Beat the System came BEFORE Captured in Time & Space... I oughtta know, I bought 'em both when they were the latest!). But overall they've done quite a decent job of creating that timeline. It's the first think I've seen on that site that actually kind of impressed me.

Coming soon

Hey, the 'coming soon' is there. When you go to the History page, click on the '04' and it'll scan your screen over to 'coming soon'. It'll be highlighted...It's in the spotlight!

2004

I know of some people that would consider 2004 too be the 30th anniversary for Petra and not 2002, because no album was released until 1974. So maybe they are planning something nice for the year.
There was a big write up in TIME a few years ago about Led Zepplin. The record co. wanted to release a Greatest Hits album in 1997 saying it was the 30th anniversary, but Jimmy Page says it should be 1998 and not 1997. I don't remember the out come, but I thought at that time it was on its way to court, and I don't think they ever released it.
