Wanted: Webmaster to update & upgrade Petraband.com

Must be able to program, design, update and communicate in a timely manner, in addition to having great graphics sense.

Please respond by posting your name, email address and links to samples of your work here on this thread.

(This is a serious post, in case you're questioning. Bob has taken ownership of petraband.com, and is looking for someone to fill the above position).

No this is not an application for the position, just a comment about your last statement.
This is GREAT news because we all know Bob will put all his effort into keeping the offical web site of the greatest rock-n-roll band of all time updated. This is something that has been sorely missed by many of us around here and we all should be grateful that Bob is starting to take the time with it.

My name is Chad Garber and my email address is [email protected].

Here is my main company website:
http://www.garberconsulting.net

There are links along the left hand side of my main biz website of other websites I have done.

Also, I just happen to be a musician as well (mainly guitar and drums) and can implement music on the website as well. There are currently no examples of this on any of my sites, but I do have that capability.

Thanks,

Chad Garber

I'm not a web designer, but I would be glad to help provide content. I have been a full-time journalist for more than 10 years -- actually my first paid byline was on Bob back in 1988 or so.

I've covered NASCAR for most of my career, and John and his son have actually been to a couple of races at Nashville Superspeedway as my guest. Here's a link to one of my latest articles, on a former driver who after leaving the sport to join the National Guard is now being deployed to Afghanistan:

I've also been a regular contributing writer to Stand Firm, a Christian men's devotional magazine for the last couple of years.

Feel free to contact me at [email protected]

Thanks,
Rick Houston

Umm Sue? Just wondering. Doesn't Bob already know how to do programming? Or does he program in a different programming language? I would post my name and qualifications except that I'm self-taught and haven't a degree or anything to prove I'm any good  .

Yes, he does, but he wants to do things with petraband.com that are beyond his area of expertise.

Post your name anyway - and use your existing sites as your resume.

Nothing wrong with being self-taught! Sometimes practical experience is better than all the titles & degrees out there... it just makes it harder to convince a future employer to hire you.

Hi, Sue... i ask... i think that here in the zone, have various artists that can make petraband.com i mean, all togheter can collaborate to make a website of Petra, a good website with php & mysql, and stuffs like that.
Is just my opinion...

This:
My name is Jim McNeal of Interwurx Development at http://www.interwurx.com/

Is a pethead, if all collaborate, one design, another programming, another make good banners and imgs (graphic designer)
The idea not is crazy, the idea is give to the band a "little" of many yrs that bless our entired lifes...

Is an idea...
