Looks like http://www.petraband.com has been updated and is looking good so far. More work needs to be done but beggars can't be choosers, eh?

Not bad!

It would be nice if SOMEBODY would rewrite that stupid bio for the current, CD, though! hehe

I wonder who they plagarized their graphics from? Hover your pointer over them and they say "Buy this from ChristianBook.com" and "Buy this from Amazon.com" and stuff. My site says stuff like that, but I checked and if they ripped off MY album cover graphics, they resized them. (I don't remember if I have any album covers with that alt text anyway)

Well

It says that the Band will be updating it from time to time.
We know that would not be John.

Whatever.

This is a huge improvement over what it was. At least people won't laugh at Petra's website now.

Hi Johnathan!

Please wait. Maybe they have changed the IP (or better the host) too. It needs a few days (2-3) until all the DNS Entries have changed.
Did you try petraband.com or the IP 216.93.185.244?

Best regards,
Markus

Clearing the cache

If you are on a PC, load the page and then type Ctrl-F5; that is supposed to bypass the cache, including any firewall caching if you are behind a firewall, and load things fresh. Not sure what the key combo on a Mac would be (Josh...?), but I'd guess it has something to do with the key with the funny squiggle on it.

Here's how we know that the new website is a big deal:

It now includes a link to the Inpop/Petra board, which has seen post volume increase about about X10. And people are posting things like, "I used to be a huge fan, I'm sure glad I found this website so I can catch up with the band."

It doesn't have to be great; it just has to function, and it's really doing its job at the moment.

I think the site looks really good. Hopefully they will be updating the touring info and also I like the fact that some of the band members from time to time will be writing in with their experiences from being in Petra.

I think petraband.com has a good feel to it. I like when the artist website has the feel of the album...so it would mean that when Petra does another album, we can expect to see the site to carry those graphics.
