As much as I like Petra AA's album fully deserves recognition. With lead vocals shared by Mark Stuart and another member, and a straight up pop/rock sensibility with good Christian lyrics it is a surely solid disc.

I guess we shouldnt really be surprised...I personally didnt care for that album all that much, the AA one..I've always thought that AA's songs were lyrically weak.

I don't mind that AudioA won it. They're a decent band. I've been meaning to buy more of their CDs. They have some really good music out right now.

Well, I would have rather seen Petra win, of course, but if it had to go to another band, at least AudioA is a popular band with whom most people are familiar (who listen to Christian rock). Plus, they've been around for quite a while themselves.

As much as I would have liked to see Petra win. I almost would rather have seen them live on TV playing Jekyl and Hyde. This song rocks and the exposure would have been great. I think the public would like the song if they heard it.

Too bad. I was hoping they'd take home another. The fact that they were nominated is still pretty cool.
Foo Dah!

Audio A puts on a really awesome rock show, they cover some great classic rock songs. Its not quite a frat rock circus, but I love what they do live.
Also, I find that Andre 3000's exuberance is perplexing.
but...

I was pleased to see Robert Randolph & the Family Band, but discouraged that they were presented as part of a funk segment with Earth Wind & Fire and George Clinton and the Parliment Funkadelic.
They sounded good though, even if they played just an awful lot faster than on their album.
As far as Petra is concerned, I don't know. I thought that J&H deserved to win, so I just don't have anything to say.
Oh, and was anybody else incredibly impressed with Prince's performance at the beginning of the show? He was on, to say the least.
