Cingular has some at one time, I used to work for one of their call centers and got into trouble for playing ring tones when I was supposed to be paying attention in training.

Yes, I'd love Petra ringtones, too or even Caller Tunes. We're with T-Mobile and have a tought time finding songs we want.

I can take any mp3 file and make an mp3 ringtone from it to go on your phone. What do you want and give me your email address and I'll send them along. If you have bluetooth it should be easy to upload from your computer to your phone. Thats what I do.

Dumb question, but does your phone have to be 'internet-connected' to download?
I'm on US Cellular... they have Easyedge, but I'm not connected to it.
So how would I be able to get ringtones? (I have a bluetooth earpiece, but that isn't quite what you're talking about).

As far as I know you can connect your cellphone via USB-cable to the
computer and download the ringtone.

I don't have those but I can make them custom so which section of those songs do you want? The begining, or the chorus? Sue you can connect your phone to the computer by usb calbe or if you have bluetooth that way too. I switch mine all the time.

Hi, this may be way too basic for most of you but I am not the swiftest when it comes to anything tech. I could never figure out how to download ringtones or for that matter find anything that I really wanted. One day I found a voice or memo recorder on my phone. I played with it a bit and found out that after I recorded something one of the options for use was "Use as ring tone" I played snippets of Petra and recorded tham on the phone and used them for a few years. They actually sounded great and were quite clear. For the last 2 years or so I have been using the opening guitar riff from Judas Kiss. On Bob's web site he has a guitar closet section where he plays different guitars trough different speakers. I'm sre you all know that by now. One of the riffs played is the opening of Judas Kiss, just Bob on guitar and quite clear. I recorded it direct from the computers speakers onto my phone. This is my custom ringtone and everyone who hears it loves it. For the people who don't know the song it is also a great conversation piece to introduce them to the band! Good Luck!

If you connect with a USB, how do you make the tune 'go' into the phone?
I'd like to try this if I can figure out how.
(I've gone from Windows 98 to XP Professional...and now I have a network of two computers and 3 drives.... hey, I'm finally moving into the 21st century electronic world!)

You need to download the software suite for you cell phone. it is usually provided free by the manufacturer of your cell phone. it will show you how to get the files onto you phone.

Easy and quick way to get Petra in your phone!
I have used a web site called
www.mobile17.com. You upload whatever tune you want to them (mp3,WMV) and then they will send it to your phone number in a text or picture message. There are a couple of ways to do it depending on what type of phone you have and your provider. It is free to use the website although your wireless provider may charge you to recieve the messages. You can also send petra animated gifs or wallpapers to your phone!

Hmmm.... I'll have to check that out.
I asked my provider (U.S. Cellular), who said not to bother in buying software to download. It doesn't work properly with their system, even though they do not have a block or anything on it.
