Tonight I was working decided to have some Petra music going to help get me going and keep me motivated. Earlier today I was listening to "W&R" and tonight I wanted to hear a couple of albums I only listened to a few times.

I can't believe how good "God Fixation" and "Jekyll & Hyde" truly are! I mean WOW!!!!! When I first got Jekyll & Hyde I loved those few hard songs, but didn't really realize that basically every song is HARD! Really fined tuned riffs and great crunch BOB! God Fixation is such a soothing album and I'm really finding sounds that I never really heard the first few times around like "Falling Up", "If I Had to Die for Somone", and well the album is just great. I'm hardcore Beyond Belief and Unseen Power because those years are when I woke up and heard to sound of Petra, but I love nights like these because it's like finding money in the pocket of an old shirt and getting that feeling like the first time I heard Petra that wonderful day.

Seriously, if you haven't really sat down and listened to these two albums it's a must. I hear sounds like those of the Beach Boys, Red Hot Chillie Peppers, and a National treasure up here in Canada called The Tragically Hip (The Hip).

Let me know what you think,

I've always loved "If I Had To Die For Someone"! The guys were definitely listening to Matchbox Twenty around that time. :) I'll have to go back and listen to the entire album. Been a long time...

Thanks,
Mark
