The CD has been charting on Soundscan for like five weeks now... Josh, what's that URL?

However, that only shows the sales rankings, not the actual sales numbers. But it's clear from looking at it that J&H sales are really slowing.

number 42 from the list that I saw. At the time of this post is 6:33pm in california on October 5, 2003.

Has anybody asked Inpop, maybe they have the figure of how many units they've sold so far. At one time it was at number 6 according to soundscan and they debuted at 11 according inpop.

By the way

When I went to get my copy of J&H I went to Walmart sense it was cheeper there. However I saw that it was not out to where everyone could see it, you know where they put the new releases at the top of the Christian section?

There were only 4 or 5 copys and they were barried within all the rest of the other CDs, they were without the white labels on top so you would have to combe through the CDs to see if they had it.

Being the sneaky pethead I am, I searched for all of them and put them up on an empty spot at the top, of course I took all the Power of Praise Cds and put them up there next to J&H too......lol

"Really slowing"

"Really slowing?" Do you think so? It keeps creeping down the list, but so does every CD after its release date, if you take a look at some of the others. I'd say just the fact that it has lasted on the chart even this long means that sales are still going pretty well. I don't remember anyone saying anything about Revival even charting at all.

Actually, I'm hoping that favorable review in CCM this month will kick it up on the chart a bit.

Well with these new marketing ideas, or help for Petra ideas that are coming up from the Petheads such as Kirkman and myself.

I think if we really put our minds to doing this kind of stuff, we may start a whole new trend in marketing. More so if it works for the J&H CD on soundscan.

It's gonna take something, refreshing to speak to the market & radio.

JAH sales

I've been around to my local Christian stores and they all say it is moving pretty well. Mardel has it in the top 10 for 6 weeks now, but I think that is just for Mardel sales and not everyone. Unlike "Revival" these stores have had to put in multiple orders for JAH. An average order for a Christian Book Store is 30-40 copies. Mardel in Plano has sold 136 copies as of last week.
Radioplay is still the key for success. We have 2 CCM stations in the area one is playing JAH, but will not play TEID because it is too soft, and the other station KLTY is still hip on Amy Grant because it brings in the ads and the money. They will play NB and WNJ, but that is all.

good, good, good
