The Petra Zone

Don't you guys fiding it interesting that both Petra and Van Halen had their most important Lead singer switch at the same time: 1985/1986, with some of the same dramas, with the Lead singers having some short success, but the Bands getting even bigger success than ever before?, then followed by the inevitable reunions and more drama?

Well, Van Halen saw incredible success in their reunion tour with Roth, so if Petra does half that well in their reunion tour with Volz, it would be a happy comparison for sure. Of course so far Van Halen hasn't recorded anything new with Roth, so hopefully Classic Petra will do better in that department.

Another interesting thing is that John Schlitt and Sammy Hagar are cousins !

Hmmm....never heard that before. I know Ken Tamplin and Sammy Hagar are cousins, but never heard about any connection between Schlitt and Hagar. Other than the fact that they both became replacement singers for one of the best rock and roll bands around.

+1, Ken Tamplin is related to Sammy, not John.

IMHO, John is a much better singer. Peace and goodwill.

Another significant lead singer change in 1986 was Rick Florian joining White Heart.
