Here are a few shots from the concert in Goiania Aug. 13 (I think)...

There is also a video up - very poor quality, but you can hear the audio:

Petra starts about 4:27 minutes into the vid.

Isn't it true that Petra's most fervent fans and wildest concert crowds are in Argentina, Brazil, India and Norway?

The videos that I have seen coming from South America are great. I wonder why there seems to be a lot more Petra fans there than in the states?

"You don't know what you got 'till it's gone... they paved Paradise and put up a parking lot"

Eventually Christian music will wake up and see what they had in some of these classic, founding groups and artists.... and stop focusing on the "latest & greatest" - many of which have very little substance but full of marketing potential.

I was there ! Very interesting This time I did not have to travel to US to see Petra like in 1998 and 2003. Now they have performed in my city, Goiânia, 3 miles from my house !!!

Even i miss much the keyboards, the show was very nice !!!

John and Bob are great !!!

Sometimes I think how is powerful the Gods call !!!

They were there giving their life for the legacy of Gospel !!! And they are not very worried about the success of the band, because they are worried about to share the Gospel of Christ!!!

I confess that I could not hold the tears !!!

I have bought the II guys of Petra album, that sincerelly, is the best Worship album of these last years !!! Awesome !!!

I did not like this current Worship albums cause they are musically poor in my opinion, and they seem very mellow with a certain dosage of forced spirituality !!! But Petra album seems very natural. It should be call PETRA PRAISE IV.

George Barna Group says that TRUE Christianity is dying in the US. Christian music sales are slowing. I don't think that there will ever be a time that the US wakes up and suddenly re-claims old Christian music. If there were a revival or new awakening, the "industry" would just commercialize the music integral to the movement. The foreign markets like all kinds of US music. They are less fickle and are hungry for it. I hope that Petra finds new life over seas.

I think Christian felt right at home with this gig. He was doing all the flashy moves, and played all the parts great, just with a different style to Paul's.

They should make another Never-Going-Away Farewell Petra record, and make a full tour alongside Classic Petra.

I feel happy for Christian with this new gig, but I missed Paul's 'dancing to a different drum' riff in 'Dance' - that was pure genius!

You've got a lot more hope than I do. I'm actually expecting CCM to die a slow death.
