ClassicPetra.com has the album up in the store with more samples to listen to.
They are getting some bugs worked, someone already said they purchased it but wasn't able to download the tracks, but they should have it fixed in a few hours.

Ughh... the sample for Back To The Rock is one of Greg's solo tracks from God Only Knows. I was so hoping for a new Bob-track.

And I can't order because they don't accept my international phone number. I have to fill in a phone number with a valid area code... Hopefully they'll work that out.

The website for ordering the album does not work. It should never have been put online before it works.
An unsecure page where people can add their credit card numbers is a bad idea when it's not working.

I too was surprised there is Greg X Volz solo stuff on this Petra record. This must be a huge mistake!
I hope they correct that!

Wow! Having listen to all the samples now, this is NOT the rock album I thought it would be. Looking at the cover and title you think this record would blow your socks off. The title track is seriously lacking if that is indeed the corect file.

I fear it is the correct sample... I listened to the version from Greg's album and the sample on the classicpetramerch site is a different recording. Greg has written this track and released it in early 2009 on his solo album God Only Knows. The track was titled The Rock, and apparently they changed the title to Back To The Rock. Here are the lyrics for the original recording of what now has become Back To The Rock.

I expect they at least altered the lyrics or wrote some additional lyrics to be able to change the title from The Rock to Back To The Rock. If they didn't alter the lyrics than it doesn't make sense to call the song Back To The Rock.

I was afraid of this. It's not good when Bob is not the main influence on a Petra project. We have seen this before with No Doubt. I know tecnically he only stepped away from touring back then, but you can just tell that other producers had more of a say in the sound of that record.

If Bob plays hard on Back To The Rock, i can live with it. Remember that PYTL, WHWCDN, LETHB are all Greg X. Volz tunes that Rocked on prior Petra albums. So it's no surprise that Greg brought another of his tunes. Now, since Too Big is the real New tune and it really is a great rocker, I think Too Big should have been the Title. What do you guys think.

Too Big tells me of the great potential Classic Petra has to make great new rocking Petra music!

i highly doubt that anyone would be stupid enough to put greg's rubbish solo work on this album. That would just kill the legacy. Where are these reports coming from? If it's true they need to halt production and get bob involved...

If the sample is correct then that is Greg's song from 2009 and this is and will be a HUGE mistake on their part.
We all have known from the get go that this whole thing was put together by Greg and his people, and to be honest with you I've had reservations about this and now it is showing its true colors. I would have felt the same way if they would be using one of John's solo songs.

I'm sorry this is just NOT Petra!!!!
