That is how long Classic Petra is going to continue recording and touring according to their last blog update through their manager. Check it out.

Well so it seems they are back for good!!! According to the manager, but until we hear it from Bob, let's see what happens. I would just hope they drop the "classic" to the name in time and just keep it Petra from now on.

Well, I just don't think that five guys would form an LLC corporation, split ownership and revenues in five parts, go through all the headaches of a decent music production, concert video production, then for just one disc? I don't think so.

That's what I like to hear. They're in it for the long haul. I hope that means that once these three albums are done, we can hope for some albums of all new material. Would be nice if they had the energy to crank out an album a year like they did in the old days.

Well Bob and Greg must be in their 60s so I guess about 15-20 years or so. That works. Jesus will come back before then though so either way it's good.

It is getting close, even though we don't know the day or the hour. Revelations sure looking like it's coming to pass with all that is going on in the world.

From the get go they said it would be a 3 album deal probably in a five year time frame. After that who knows. I would think if this thing is hugely popular than it will continue.
BTW they can't drop Classic off the name, Bob is sole and complete owner of Petra, unlike Classic to where the 5 members hold a stake. I would bet Bob required it to be this way in order for Classic to happen.

The Southern Gospel band I play with is called "The Lighthouse Boys" however in mid 90s we started TLB Ministries, Inc. This allowed us to recieve donations to continue in the ministry and still be called The Lighthouse Boys. "The Lighthouse Boys" name and group was and still is owned by my uncle.
Although Inc and LLC are two different things. Bob and the guys could have still reformed under the name "PETRA" and used ClassicPetra LLC as the company for production and touring.

I don't think it really matters. I mean it's not like people are going to start calling them Classic Petra. Heck, a lot of people even refer to the 2 Guys album as Petra, and let's face it, basically it is.

Bob could've done that but for some reason decided against it. My thinking is that this is something that he is not considering as a perm. Formation of the band Petra.

Just something I threw together in Illustrator.
