I think it is interesting that "too big" sections of the choruses are similar. I think I like John's Too Big a bit better. It is a bit more in-your-face.

As a song, John's smokes the Classic Petra tune, hands down. I will say that the new tune rocks, and it's great to hear John Lawry's keyboards paired with Bob guitar work again! It's so "Beyond Belief" era. I can pratically hear John singing it. I hope we get some more new tunes sooner than later. It's great to have an incarnation of Petra back! BBTR is awesome, but I already want more! How about a new John Schlitt solo CD to go with it?

I believe John's "too Big" was written by Ronny Cates. For me the beginning guitar strums and drum beat of "God is too Big" remind me of the Jackson 5 for some reason.

Both songs are very good. They address the "Too Big" attributes of God from two different angles, so they are both relevant. I like Bob's probably a little better, just cuz it rocks a little more, but both are very good.
