Hi Friends!....
It´s early in the morning... last night was the concert.... and it was great!!!!!!
The band was fantastic....

Cristian ... he is living our dream... like a pethead he is enjoying to play with them... he drummed perfect... sounds excelent... and jokes with them... in a moment John said, when he said that they will sing some songs in spanish, that we were 12000 or 15000 people who speak in spanih and they were 4 clowns who speak in english.... and Crisitian lift his hand uo with 3 fingers saying that they are 3 clowns.... he was great.

Bob was terrific... there was some sound´s problem but he didn´t said anything and played like he know.., Like all of we know...

Greg was great too... I know that all of the pethead who likes to compare bassits has Ronnie or Mark on the top... and may be Lonnie would be more dinamic like Greg but I like very much him... he is in the band trough 7 years and win my heart... he has a very nice voice .. I enjoyed him.

John was fantastic... as I said, the last 2 times they were here he came not in the best mode... and last night was fantastic... I surprise in the last song (Show your Power) when he do some part solo, 2 hours later, he was like in the first song.

The Set list includes (I will try to list all) (not all in order):

All about who you know
Dance
I waited for the Lord / Ancient of Days

Perfect World
The Noise we make
Creed
Lord I lift your name on High
He came, he saw, he conquered
Show your Power...[/
color]
I can´t remember if I forgot some...

My pics and videos are not good... my ubication was no the best and .... many people was with their cameras and cell phones bu t I tried to enjoyed them.... like the last time (but I know by faith that it ins´t the last time)

blessings....

Judging from what I see, this one has a good chance to make it to production.

Here are a bunch of other Rock 'n Vida vids off of YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/user/givamu

Petra fans in Argentina are so lively.. there looks like there is 90K people at this thing and they are going insane!!! in the states people just stand around like trees and clap their hands on que. I would like to see this happen in the states (without alcohol) my wife wants to go to Argentina, so I will have to line one of up a concert at the same time :) wont tell here my alternative motives  get her back for surprise ballet and Ikea trips ;-) ahh I love my wife!

Well they do here in the states for bands like Newsboys and Jars of Clay.
But I've been thinking, the music industry started dropping off on Petra as they started reaching the 30th Anniversary mark, saying they were to old and not reaching today's young people. Newsboys are somewhere around 22 or 23 years old now, so I wonder if the same thing will happen. However the industry hasn't done so with Amy Grant or Michael W Smith, or Steven Curtis Chapman, so I'm wondering why Petra was all the sudden not worthy of promotion but Amy, Michael and Steven are? If the Newsboys or Jars of Clay don't drop off the raidar by the time they hit 30 what's that gonna say???

Look at the genres.... the others mentioned are pop/ac. Petra is rock. Rock is a 'youngster's genre,' and in the Christian music scene 'old' rockers just don't have the same respect as in the secular vein.

Btw, crowd estimates were 10,000 in Mendoza and 30,000 in BA.
