Hate to bring this up but a few months have gone by and still nothing more then a routing schedule has been released for Classic Petra. I heard once that they were going to do 40 dates plus a world tour. Any update?

Greg, Bob, and company probably will wait until spring to tour. There are a couple of reasons for this...
1. People are spending their money on Christmas presents right now. If Classic Petra waits until spring, most people will be in better financial shape (especially with tax refunds).
2. Weather is a huge factor. Yes, many bands still tour in winter, but you have to worry about snowstorms, bitter cold, etc. Plus, keep in mind...these guys are getting up there in age. That's not a knock on them...heck, I turned 40 in 2010, and I hate winter!

There's at least a couple of firm dates that aren't posted yet. I'm assuming they want to fill in the tour more before showing anything. When they finally figure out that they need to back off on their expectations a little, they'll get more dates.
I'm convinced it will happen, but have no pie in the sky expectations of it being a massive tour with huge crowds. As disappointed as most of us were with the TBN taping, it will likely open up some doors and show people they're serious about this.
Be patient people. In the business world these kinds of delays in this economy mean nothing. Everything is taking longer to pull together. Everyone is more hesitant to pull the trigger. Truthfully Sue, I think waiting until spring and summer would be a very wise move on their part. Most people in the business world expect some improvement in consumer confidence by then and that has a huge impact on spending. Seriously!!
Speaking of spending, does anyone have any idea how the CD is selling? With 16,000 people on their facebook site you would think they would have had a huge financial boost through direct sales and downloads.

First off, I don't have any numbers but they are very happy with the way sales are going for the album.
Second, the tour will happen just not in the way they were saying in the fall. I totally expect 15-20 USA dates with 5-8 international dates through the summer months.
The one thing that I don't understand is their manager is now saying that they will start recording another album in Jan. But their tour agent makes it very clear they only be doing songs from BTTR on this tour with the longest show being 70 minutes long.

Maybe they are going to record it but not release it until after the tour??? Speculation

I heard it was going to be released in the spring, so unless the tour gets started right after the new year, which doesn't appear likely, the new album will come before the end of the tour.

It's a busy time of year, I wouldn't expect anything to be announced until January, I guess the thing that is a major concern is so the dates are not posted on the site.. you would still think that the promoters at each venue would be doing their job of letting people know well in advance.

For the record the ONLY thing I have ever doubted about classic petra is 1. A 40+ date world tour 2. Multiple Album Releases (not just 1 or 2).
I hope I am wrong it's just that MONTHS have gone by and not 1 CONFIRMED concert or location has been announced. Of course I will continue to be patient but I know the amount of money they are wanting for a one hour set is outrageous in this economy or any economy for that matter considering the lack of interest (which is building) and radio play or chart success. And also for the record I have bought the new cd and download and will buy the DVD (I did not buy the Tshirt because I don't like it) So I am doing my part to help them succeed just wishing for some moreinfo is all.

We shouldn't be too alarmed as of yet, but there should be concern if we don't start seeing some confirmed dates by Feb.1st.
I do feel their cost expectations need to come down and also length of each show should be somewhat laxed. I know in 2005 when Stryper returned they were asking 12k for a 90 minute show and in some cases went as low as 10k.
