Jan, you're from San Angelo? I lived there for six years until last December. Small world! I was just about to post how surprised I was to see KCRN playing any version of Petra...

Gotta say...not a fan of WBGL in Champaign, IL. They play far more "programs" and commercials than they do actual music - something like a 2 to 1 ratio in terms of minutes. They'll play three songs over the course of 10 minutes and then spend 15 - 20 minutes NOT playing music.

It also amazes me that they get as many listeners as they do with their format and music selection in a town that is dominated by a major university.

Yes, I haven't lived there since 1985 though. There were no Christian radio stations there back then, and I had never heard of Petra. Cool to find someone here who lived in little out-in-middle-of-nowhere San Angelo.
