Is this the TBN show you are talking about? Will the live CD be from the same recording from the DVD?

Yes it will.

So I'm guessing it will sound just like the CD, because of the television production value?

Hmm... that would be a most odd "live" record. I mean, I understand the need for backing tracks and maybe even [cough] lip sync occasionally, especially for, ah, "ripening" performers, but it doesn't sound like much to listen to live. I guess there could be some audience noise/interaction. Hmm. Did Louie even get a solo in that concert? Didn't think so.

They also played the songs in the same order as the CD, I'm not really sure why they would be doing this.

Possibly because a CD/DVD set would sell better than just a DVD. I am assuming that they will be packaged together. They're probably expecting to sell more in this way.

Sorry, I just spit liquids all over the Mac. They are gonna do what? Release a DVD with the CD (which is the same darn thing as the first CD but with some OD'd vocals? First of all, let it be known that I have supported these guys from the time I leaked the news until now. BUT, this is crazy to me. All of the band's tracks on all three discs will be excactly the same? What is the point. Who wants a DVD of the guys playing Air Band? Crap, I can do that. People on YouTube do that.

I will buy it dadgummit, I wish they could show off a bit and play some live arrangements. (Heavy sigh and slumps down in the chair)

This is IMO somewhat redundant because most of us know the DVD taping was not really live in most spots for TV production value. Won't this CD be the same as the orginial?
I'm like Brent and will buy it, but I think this is a marketing mistake and too be honest brings up some creditability issues; this does not look right(honest) on their part.

Are they back with Star Song and I didn't know it?

I will still buy it, possibly, and watch the stage show at least.

I was at the show, and every instrument was played and recorded live. Just that the bass and guitar were recorded straight to the soundboard. Bob had his Egnater head on the floor just in case the direct recording did not work.

You can tell on the song BTTR Bob does a completely different solo before the bridge. You can see the clip in you tube.

Louie also broke his snare at the third song to last, and they had to record again the last 3 tracks.

Greg sang about 70 % of the perfomance, and Michael said he did overdubed live the remaining vocals for these final DVD and CD.

To me this will sound like a live recording of the BTTR album.

I would just like somebody here to point me to a contemporary live recording today that does not have any overdubed parts. Even CITAS has overdubs. We know that.

Sounds a little over kill, but if they are chucking it in for free with the lip sink dvd who cares!

The dvd would only be like 10 to 15 bucks anyway seeing it was made by TBN for free, and edited by Lawry in his home studio. I think it will be real interesting to see the dvd, it not a live taping really, just the video. It cannot be compared to the raw CITAS, not even close.

Hey Daniel, no disrespect but, how can you say it can't be compared to CITAS? Were you at the taping? I think you are right about not comparing the format of the performance, but the recording, could be just about the same.

CITAS compared to TBN Tape: Are you telling me that the TBN video was taped at a live concert in an Arena with no lipsync and no re takes, your dreamin' mate.

I guess you were like me, not even there buddy old pal?
