Can I hear the rough mix of "farewell?" That would rock!

This is material for private messaging, Yuri. I\'m not going to post the Farewell Rough Mix in the near future. It isn\'t interesting at all. I do have some other behind the scenes material and some interview stuff that\'s not yet available online, so I\'ll start posting some of that after Easter. There is no "chatter" or talk? Whatabout C-H-R-I-S-T-I-A-N song after the acoustic medley? OR Paul's impromptu drum solo after bob broke his string during his solo. AND, I noticed that my CD is about 64 minutes, your rough mix is 72 minutes. Where did you even get such a rare item? Does it even have an insert?

I know someone who got this CDR from Inpop Records as some kind of pre-release review copy. He kindly sent me digital files of the CDR. This is not a radio release, so there are very few copies. It\'s a plain CDR without any inserts as far as I know.

Even though some of the tracks are longer than the tracks on the final mix, there is nothing new there. There\'s no speech, no extra music, nothing interesting. There\'s just some extra seconds before and/or after the songs, possibly some barely audible chatter. I guess it was just a rough cut before they mixed in the audience and made the final cut. Of course the final cut was made to sound like a continuous concert.

Oh really? Why wasn't it a continuous concert to begin with? That is odd.

Well, it WAS a "continuous concert" but there were breaks & such to move or reposition, etc. - the music didn't go non-stop straight through.

There are two ways to shoot live concerts. The most expensive and draining way to do it is to shoot two or more nights back to back in the same place, in the same clothes, playing the same set list, or to have breaks, restarts, multiples takes of the same tunes, etc in one night. I would bet that there are no concert videos shot without some kind of editing, overdubbing or something. In fact, many concerts we play in the shop are heavily overdubbed.
