I haven't seen any update in a while on the release of the TBN DVD. Anyone see or heard any news lately?

Yeah that's interesting...

I think they should axe it, and re-record it when they play live in the US next. By the time it comes out the band will have a tighter set and more movement on stage and won't have to lip sync.

For all of you who can't seem to look at other website blogs, this is in response to that very question from the Classic Petra blog.


The video director, Russ Hall, is mastering it right now. They have taken a good deal of time, way more than we expected, to produce a broadcast that will circle the globe, but we realize it’s is all talk until you actually see it, so please bear with us a little longer. We are releasing a live CD within 10 days of the show.



While I'm on here this is about tour dates.

In regard to getting some US dates on the calendar, please contact your churches or local promoters. We need an invitation.

When a band and/or management sits there and waits for invitations for shows then I believe all is lost.
I know for a FACT that there are 2 promoters that up until a month ago was trying to work something out to bring them to Dallas, Houston, and Abliene but for some reason management is not really trying too hard to get the word out and basically has stop returning calls/emails.
My understanding is both promoters have started booking other artists.

Really? Abilene? That would be totally awesome, as that is where I am... Petra first came to Abilene in 1984 on the NOTW tour.

They had some type of interest there(Abilene) but the promoter was looking for more than one church to help and couldn't get the needed funding; it also didn't help the management was firm on their price.

Good for you; maybe he is busy when the calls were made. I myself have called twice and was able to talk to him once in Jan. But to be honest it was just what has been said on the blog, and I didn't really get a good feel from it.
Two things that CP need right now and I don't believe they are getting either from management are.

1. Too be proactive and not reactive.
2. Too be competitive in the market price wise.

Probably the reason no one can get through to the manager is cause your always calling him waisting his time.
