I saw in that Facebook page by a kid who makes you think he represents Petra, that John has a new rock CD coming out, with financing arranged and everything. There was a newsletter sent last week and we did not get it.

I think that guy is doing a great job promoting both Classic Petra and John Schlitt, and should be hired by both camps. He posts everything immediatly, and is very passionate about it. That site has more than 19,000 friends, more than Classic Petra's 3,500.

Is it that John tought that the kid's Facebook page was a better vehicle to promote his suff?

I miss Sue around here. I hope she is still working with John?

She updated us on a possibility of John making another rock album its been a month or so.
IMO since the ClassicPetra thing started last fall she has made herself and John updates scarce out of respect for CP but also she was getting flamed by a few around here for voicing her opinions.

Well, she is going to be partial to John and II Guys, so it should not be a shock that her updates and opinions will be biased. People should not bag on her knowing what she does to help John. Fans of 2005 Petra were bagging on CP for a while. That wasn't right either.

Yeah, there was a lot going both ways, but Sue was never the one throwing the dirt around.

I'm still around, still here and working more than ever with John (just got back from spending a little more than a week down in Nashville).

The kid is not posting anything there any more (at least nothing that's of significance or official).... we (Sherri A. and myself) post ALL of John's updates and information, which is taken pretty much from his regular site and Twitter posts (he DOES write & post his own Tweets, and we're all very proud of him for learning how to do that. ).

ALL the Petra info is coming from Yvonne Nachtigal.

Both camps have access to the page, given by the kid - and are posting in an official capacity. The kid has nothing to do with it any more, really, though he may be posting some vids and such.

To clarify, financing is NOT arranged for John's next album. You'll be hearing more about that shortly...! Petheads, unite!

I like it that I\'m able to keep track of what John is doing through Twitter. I\'m just curious why he would make a video for The Grafting when he\'s planning to release a new album this year. Wouldn\'t it have been better to save the money for a new video along with a new album? Or did the person who made it possible insist on making a video for specifically The Grafting?

There\'s a lot happening with John these days and I like it that we still get to see and hear some new stuff through different channels. (Even though I totally don\'t agree with what ACLJ stands for and what they\'re trying to do...)

About the video -- if you read John's newsletter, you'll see this line:

"It's very exciting - I have a person who believes in my ministry so much that he basically came in and worked around the clock to get this done. It was done very professionally and I'm very excited about it!"

In other words - the producer felt that this was a song that needed to have a video with it - and did this out of the goodness of his heart.

I've seen what he's put together (aside from the shoot he just did with John) and it will literally bring tears to your eyes, it's that effective. He's an amazing producer, and does extremely high-quality work.

Guys, thanks for asking about ACLJ. I feel like this doesn\'t belong in this thread. But since you asked: in a few days I\'ll start an off-topic thread with some of my initial thoughts about ACLJ.

Sue, If you are alluding to a possibility of John using a service like kickstarter. I for one would donate to the cause and only because for me John is somewhat like family not just a performer. Can't wait to see what comes down the pike.

As far as the grafting, I always thought that song has a massage that needs to be out there, even if John, has a new album. I also think the whole grafting album deserves another chance, bacause to me it is more relevant than most of what been heard out there.
