If John is doing something like what Tourniquet did (the site name just totally escaped me), then that's what it will be. Fans can pledge a certain amount of money toward meeting whatever goal the artist sets for making the album, and once the goal is met, their credit cards are charged and the artist begins making the album. If the goal isn't met, the cards don't get charged, and there's no album. It's a great deal.

What can you do to help?
First of all, check out the Kickstarter site when it's live and learn what you can get in return for your donation.
Secondly - spread the word about John's Kickstarter page once we make the announcement and let everyone know that John Schlitt will be coming out with a new ROCK album!

Hypothetically if one was to donate enough to pay for the whole project, would John adopt him/her as his adopted son/daughter?

We'll take that proposal under advisement as a reward!

If I cut John a check for the whole thing, he is building me a new DECK!

What kinda costs is an artist looking at these days to get a full length CD out?
