Re: BTTR VOL 2?
From the way they talked most recently and given their schedule, if I had to guess, I'd say late summer or early fall.

I was trying to be funny. Those are the dates on the classic petra tour section. According to management a while back, they were supposed to record volume 2 this summer, volume 3 (all new stuff) this fall, and the U.S. tour would be next year. I was just wodering how close they were to going in the studio. Next week? Next month?

Sorry, I do see the humor in that.Timbo wrote:I was trying to be funny. Those are the dates on the classic petra tour section. It's hard to say really, cuz they don't tell us much anymore, but I suppose that probably a good thing since what they have told us in the past has so often been wrong. The US Tour, if it really comes to pass is now slated for next year. Yes there's only four US dates so far this year, but there's also been a fair number of foreign dates and really it's more than Petra has toured since the original retired in 2005, so it's hard to complain.

With so little news, I'm losing confidence that their tour will be extensive enough that I'll be able to see them...which would be a real shame! Here's hoping I'm wrong!!

Guess you'll just have to come to NH on Aug 4th. Can't wait! And I'm very intrigued about what they may record next as a group. While I know it'll never happen since it's "Classic" Petra, I'd love to hear some post GXV songs re-recorded with GXV.
Sorry to you Schlitt fans, but I can't stand his voice. I tried to like him for his first 3 albums with Petra, but I gave up. Love the songs and music, but his voice is awful (in my opinion, of course!)
