Beat The System 2012

Post by fcollazo » Fri Jul 08, 2011 8:16 am

how about instead of getting a back to the rock volume 2 why don't we request a complete redo and brand new recording of the beat the system record? I always loved the songs on that record but I hated the dated sound and the computer generated bass and drum sounds. I think it's completely doable and they already have adonai and clean recorded. any takers?

I am!! I always wondered what this album would sound like with the real stuff behind it. My favs of there have always been Voice in the Wind and Witch Hunt.

Or why not a multitrack version with different presets for different styles of music, for example hip hip, country, techno and jazz. So that you can select which one you prefer or adjust presets to make your own mix.

I would love to hear a re-recorded version of Beat the System. I would buy it in a heartbeat.

I would like a re-record of Greg singing Back To The Street.

No this album was not meant for his style; its clear by the edge it has and it needs a singer with an edge like John.

Nah. If you tune down, which you would have to do with either singer, it would take on a different flare.

Nope, I'd rather have another mix of songs from various albums again, rather than a redo of one album.

Also, I very much disagree that BTTS is to edgy for Greg Volz. I've always felt that album could have just as easily been sung by either John or Greg. It really doesn't sound all that different from BTS if you take away all the computer crap. It wasn't really until TMW that Petra's sound changed enough that it didn't fit Greg anymore.

A lot of the chord changes and keyboard sounds in TMW always reminded me of BTS. I think after OF, that's when Petra really changed for me.

I often 'hear' Greg's voice when listening to certain tracks on BTTS. Particularly BBTS and You Are I AM.
