Hey everybody,

Over the years I have received several requests for copies of the concerts we did with John back in 2003. (Wow, has it really been that long ago?) I didn't have the time or resources to do that, but now thanks to technology I present to you the first concert we did with John. I welcome your feedback and comments.

Just watched the first one so far and it's awesome. You guys are solid band, that's for sure. By the way, I guess I hadn't really thought about it for a while, but I was struck by how much younger John looked at that time. Some reason in my head I was thinking he hadn't changed much over those years, but I guess I forgot. Oh well, I guess none of us are getting any younger.

I LOVE Beyond Belief!!! It sounds way more beefed up than the recorded one!

Preacherman, Let me know what you think of Wake the dead, Beyond Belief, and He Cam He Saw... When you get to them.

Yeah Jan. We approached the whole thing as doing the songs the way fans wanted to hear them. Petra didn't have a keyboard player at the time and everyone was talking about how they missed that. Fans were also discussing the fact that while they liked Pete, Kevin, and Lonnie that Petra wasn't playing certain songs the way they wanted to hear them. Petra was trying to "update" the songs. Make them sound more "alternative". Beyond Belief had taken on a whole different sound, and as a fan I missed the original arrangement, as did others. Also, He Came HE saw was originally a very up tempo powerful song with a lot of energy. I personally didn't care for the slowed down version they started doing live. That song should explode! So I cranked drive on my amp and went for it.

The biggest blessing and humbling surprise was when fans would come up to us and say that we sounded more like Petra than Petra of the time, and that they had wanted Petra to sound like that again. Also, we moved on stage and were fun to watch. We didn't just stand there. We were big time fans (Especially me) so we understood what those comments meant. We got it.

I was actually there that weekend--Good memories. Thanks for posting that.

Hey shell, this show was actually in michigan before the shows in wisconsin. This one pekin, IL and Godstock were the best. The sound was horrible in sheboygan. I was just converting that video last night and watching you sam and elo. Good memories indeed.

He's gotten "puffier" over the years. His face was very lean in his younger days, and more rounded now.

Aw, I thought they were from Wisconsin. You still did the same (or most of the same) songs I think. Fun times. Time does fly, it's hard to believe it's been eight years now.

Nice! Thanks for posting these videos. I love this performance! And very decent guitarwork! I have never hear "All The Kings Horses" in this speed before! I like it!

I didn't like the version of Dance they did on the farewell tour.
