The obvious would Tulsa and OKC. Those towns used to be huge Petra towns, with secular and Christian attendees. If they got the proper press, people would show up. The last concert pushed by KXOJ at Union High School (98 or 99) had a packed house in the PAC. I would not expect to see more people than that at any given one off in the USA. We are talking 1200-1500 people or so. So, they should be looking for a Brady Theater type of venue and need to lay some jack out on the advertising in the right places. There are some huge churches in the Tulsa market they could network with, Church of the Move, Victory Christian Center, First Baptist, Life, etc.

They should come over there. I am not joining another forum. I can't keep up with everything now. :) Heck, tell them to call CCLI, buy the mailing list of churches that have "x" number of people in the top 10 church markets, and go from there. Then have them do the research through the GMA and find out who is buying what and where. They should be hitting PollStar too. Pretty simple stuff. Once they know who has the money and where they turn loose of it, then they can target people here and other places) in those markets. Heck. Put me on payroll, I will do it :).

Hopefully they will be brought to Irving Bible Church; Petra played there on the Farewell Tour to a sold out house(I've been told it seats 3,200). I believe Greg has attended that church at one time, but not sure about it now. This church usually brings in 3-4 big name CCM artists a year.

I have links to Classic Petra, John Schlitt and Creation's End (Marco's band) at the bottom of each page on our site. We have a good following in Russia, Japan, Brazil, etc. Maybe they will get some bleed over there.

The nature of band management these days is you have to get involved with social networking especially forums. If Classic Petra management want to get involved they have to move with the times. That's why you see Sue in here promoting John, or Sherri on Facebook.. this is just the way it is sadly.. because people are less likely to go to the bands website to get information or get their point of view across. One other the thing they need to look at too would be an exit strategy because if the tour ends in 2012 some people (not myself) may wait until the final hour to see them so I guess they need to say when the tour is over too (I know that sounds bad, but this is reality) you have to stick it to it while the fire is hot.

I've been praying the tour issue for a while, and I'm coming to conclusion that the only way we will see a 40+ date successful tour would be to get John and some other former members together and have a huge 40th anniversary tour in 2012, and have no opening artist with Greg out there for his era of songs and John out there for his. I know for a fact that promoters are pushing CP for something like this. I would even go as far as to say that we could see something within 18-24 months like a 2 disc set with all new music with Greg on one and John on another.
