If you would define the "real" Petra depending on which members that has been the longest time with Petra, it would be:

Bob Hartman, John Schlitt, Mark Kelly, John Lawry and Louie Weaver.

However, if you don't take different instruments into account, it would be:

Bob Hartman, Louie Weaver, John Schlitt, Greg X Volz and John Lawry.

So why not make it a 6 piece group instead to get the bass in there as well!

Bob Hartman, Louie Weaver, John Schlitt, Greg X Volz, John Lawry and Mark Kelly.

Greg X Volz could even add an extra guitar on John Schlitt songs and John Schlitt could do backing vocals (or rest) on Greg's songs. Both singers would have the chance to rest their voice a bit and fans of both singers would be happy!

I think Classic Petra is cool! The best that has happened in years actually. But this would probably be even cooler...

There has been bands with two singers before. How about Kansas... where they sometimes sang different parts of the same song. Think about that: Greg singing the intro on Creed and then comes John when the song gets harder.

I would love to see Petra tour with both singers. The best of both worlds. It would be a wonderful thing.

I think this can happen, God can move any mountain to get it done. I know there is at least one promoter here in the U.S. that is trying to get something together for the 40th anniversary.

You're welcome. ;-)

Just kidding. I didn't create it, though I wish I had. I did reorganize it a little to make it easier to read (the previous version had a BGVs section, which repeated a lot of names and added a lot of bars but didn't actually include all of the many, many people to have sung backup on Petra albums).
