The guitar looks like the one that was put on a tshirt and also used for a poster advertising John's concert in Indy last year with Rob Pugh. Probably need to ask permission to use someone's artwork.....

NO, you can't take someone's artwork and use it without permission. This is how people make their living... it's not right just to TAKE it. (sound like a familiar argument??)
Hudson, the guitar is neat, but you would have to ask if you can use it. Not sure about the gray matter... it doesn't look right. Putting only two album logos on the site just doesn't fit either.
A LOGO is usually original art, short & simple (like Daniel's).
Dan, you did a nice job - but it looks kinda goth to me. A little scary....

Ok, my logo was just a suggestion.
I was sure you would never use it.
It was just to show something that I think is cool, interesting and a little different.
Rock bands often use logos full of effects, images and symbols.
I think the current logo of the site very simple, I wanted to create something a little different.
