zak89 wrote:p-freak, if you'd like contributions for the guitar chords pages (nice touch including those, by the way) for any of the music, let me know - I have most of them figured out in my head and it's about time I got them down (the songbook transcriptions are helpful but not particularly accurate in my experience - and there's some flat out wrong chords in the PP2 "booklet" and in some of the older songooks as well).

Fantastic work on the site! Too few classic Christian bands have this sort of research and documentation preserved; this is an awesome resource. 8)
I also noticed that the God Fixation songbook has several songs in a different key than they are played on the album.

Here the newly updated album page for Washes Whiter Than.

http://www.petrafiles.com/petraspective ... rthan.html

Looking for lots of different cassette releases for this one. If you have one, please pass it my way, or take the time to send me some scans/photographs.

Also added pictures to the Washes Whiter Than/Never Say Die CD page.

Still looking for the 8-track. If someone happens to have that, even pictures or a track list would be appreciated. Looking for some cassette releases here as well. Check your collection and if you have one, maybe you'd want to pass it (or photographs) my way. Someone helped me get one of the missing WWT tapes. Thanks!!

If you got the record, would you mind checking which version you have? The most common one is the Star Song release with Word, Inc. distribution. This has an error on the label of side 2: Never Day Die. I'm trying to find out if this specific release exists with the correct album title. Also, does anyone have a Never Say Die record that actually mentions The Benson Company as distributor?

Zak89, I'll get back to you about the chords.

Does anyone know which Petra album was the last one to be distributed in 8-track form?

I bet you could find the early international Word Records stuff on 8-Track.

Nah. Contact Eric at GoGlobal. He was selling Petra at Word in their heyday. He told me that they still released them in Africa during the word days.
