I have been listening to Petra since 1987. Petra has sang songs on Love and Prayer but actions speak louder than words! It is too bad that someone cant place there swords and any other weapons away to reunite TOGETHER! Here is a "Christian" rock group that cant get together! Petra received Gold albums for a reason fans went out and bought them! Fans want at least one last tour with Petra united Together! Well I spoke my opinion!!

I think it has more to do with former band members having priorities and different lives now and really just don't want to go back, plus its been said Bob picked the ones he wanted to do this with(I believe John Lawry was also asked to join in but his studio schedule prohibited it). I am a member of a somewhat large Baptist church and there are members there that I chose to stay away from not because they are evil, but because we might have some small disagreements that might hinder the ministry or planting the Gospel and like the Church the ministry must come first. If you can't lay down your disagreements than the best for everyone involved is to stay away from each other. I'm sure there are a few people here at the Zone that I would probably choose not hang with because beyond Petra & being a Christian we most likely have no like interests and don't see eye2eye on things, and I'm sure there are a lot around here that would choose to stay away from me.
I will say like most Petheads this is probably not the lineup that I would want out there, but these are the ones that Bob chose and the ones that accepted.

There is nothing in the Bible to indicate that band members can't go their separate ways or are obligated to work with each other after they've gone their separate ways. Working together and forgiveness are two entirely different things. We're told to forgive. We are not told we have to continue to hang out with or work with whoever we might need to forgive. And has been pointed out, it would be next to impossible to get everybody's schedule together to do something like this (that is, get every band member who was ever in Petra together for a reunion).

I personally wish that Paul had been able to play drums for them for this...I have a soft spot for him. However, that doesn't mean I'm not glad that Cristian has a chance to participate or that I won't go see them if they do a show close enough for me to do so.
