They were likely Gold long ago. Nobody tracked the sales of the early records.

Yeah, it is too bad. It seemed like Christian music was really just swept under the rug until the mainstream decided that it was PC to have Christian music in their circles. Too bad, really....

In the late 80's and 90's I remember all sorts of bands that came and went without much fanfare at all and many of them had really good music. Maybe not every song was great but lots of good songs and then it seemed to narrow to who looked the best or sounded the most like some secular artist who was popular.

Anyone remember:

Modern Mission, Ruscha, Tempest, Joe English Band (many of us would know the connection for this one), Bash N' The Code, Kenny Marks, etc...? There are so many more that I have as well.....
