Poor David Meece, the band was playing to fast, he sings it different live.

Re: THEY OWNED THE STAGE!!
Fantastic performance! Unfortunately, I never have had the pleasure of seeing Petra live (though I did get to see John at the Rock the Halls show). Getting to see what is, in my opinion, the greatest Petra lineup play live was absolutely incredible.

I was pleased to be able to see this. Even if it was just one song, I'm glad it happened. What a treat!!! Great job!

Re: THEY OWNED THE STAGE!!
Was very cool to see the names and pictures of other bands in the background, Rez, Holy Soldier, D&K etc.. Nice touch.
The guys in Petra all looked so happy. Louie bangin away wearing a Mickey Mouse shirt. John Lawry on his mobile keyboard, Ronny and Bob singing background vocals. John S sounded good, but yes he did keep it down a notch. Although, we know he can do it (Hallelujah Chorus). Bob playing guitar like he always did. I imagine John L was singing background too but there was little coverage of him. I was disappointed they didn't get a closeup of Ronny, and not very much of John L either, but it was great to see them all regardless!
It was good to see some of the other artists, and a couple of them I had never heard before and were very talented, but really, Petra was a total highlight. Nice leadup that Skillet did for them too.
I will never forget this, and I really hope we see more of them in some fashion, they are so important to this industry.
Just one more album guys, ONE MORE PLEASE!!
Have not been able to watch the rest of the show, we have slow internet out in the country, and I had to let the rest of the family back on the web after Petra was done. Now I can't see more than 3 seconds of the stream at a time. I thank God I got in the Petra time without any hangups!

David can't sing that well anymore either. Too bad. I had his albums/singles up until 70x70. Saw him live. He was a great entertainer. Probably one of his best moves was using Gina Vannelli as a producer. Love that guy too.Dan wrote:they did!

Great job capturing that, Dan! Mind if I steal it and put it on John's Youtube?

Sure put it where you like Sue, I don't own it.
I love this performance, they have still got it. Sue quiz John when you speak to him next as to anything that might come out of this reunion. I am happy to retire from being a fanatic now, it is finished.

That is Stephen Yake, who produced and directed the On Fire Video Event, the Beyond Belief Video Album and Backstage Pass and who was the video director of this event.fiendik wrote:Excuse me for not knowing anything about anything Petra-related, but who is the 6th guy?

Here is a link to a facebook posted video from someone's cellphone. Shows Ronnie still moving like he used too on stage.
