The Petra Zone

Before Petra, Bob Hartman was in a band called Dove. In 2011 they had a reunion as a benefit for the bass player Davy Farrell. I heard about it at the time and I was looking for footage, but I gave up after a while. And now I just bumped into a few songs on youtube:

I like!! Bob really looks like he is having a lot of fun.

Yeah!!! Bob even plays "Jeff's Boogie" on one of the vids. He also played a much faster/longer version of that back in the earlier Petra days. I just found it on the live recording from New York City in 1983 that trodland used to host on his site and it's just after the end of "Backslidin Blues" on CD1, track 15, and leading into "God Gave Rock and Roll to You", if you'd like something fun to listen to and want to hear Bob really throwing down some fine guitar. It's my favorite Bob guitar solo of all time. This vid on youtube is the only other time I've heard Bob play it.
