Hello, there was a date in either 1990 or 1991 for the Beyond Belief tour at the Greenville Memorial Auditorium in Greenville SC featuring Josh McDowell. I know because I was there. I cannot remember the exact date...

The tour archive has now been updated. The Greenville Beyond Belief tour stop was Sep 29, 1990.

Hello. I literally just found this site about 30 minutes ago and saw the concert thread.

I do have a bit of info on at least the April 7, 1990 Rosemont Horizon appearance. Not sure if anyone here remembers a televangelist who was popular for a time in the late 1980s and early 1990s named Larry Lea; who rose to prominence with a 1986 book on prayer titled "Could You Not Tarry One Hour".

Anyway, Lea was holding a 3-day Prayer Breakthrough service in the Rosemont Horizon immediately on April 4-6 of 1990, and not sure how the people working with him found out about Petra and Josh McDowell arriving the next day, but it appears at some point it was decided to have the Petra concert combined with Lea's meetings extended an extra day to accommodate Petra's already scheduled concert.

Thanks for the info. We'll get McDowell and Lea added to the 04.07.90 tour archive listing. Blessings!

What's your source for the 9 May 2002 show in The Hague? I don't think that ever happened.

QUOTED TEXT:

END QUOTED TEXT:

Are you sure you don't mean Dec 04, 1986? We know Petra played Brisbane Festival Hall on that date.

And, also, the band played Nashville, Tennessee, in the United States on Dec 05, 1987, which would make a concert in Australia the evening before unlikely.

Thanks!

The list on page 1 of this topic gives a show in Den Haag, Netherlands on that date. That should be fixed. They might have been at the Himmelfahrt Festival. In 2003 they also had a Mai-Day/Himmelfahrt Festival combination on May 23/24.

They're fake live recordings. I'm not even sure Trunks Arena exists. The audience is pasted in. Petra En Alabanza has the exact same "live" recordings.
My guess is that the name is an inside joke. The album was recorded at Pakaderm Studios, owned by John and Dino Elefante. The name of the studio is a play on "pachyderm", another name for "elephant". Elefante looks almost the same as "elephant" which is why the Pakaderm logo is an elephant with sunglasses on. I'm guessing "Trunks" is another elephant reference.

Wow I've never thought of that, but now that you've mentioned it it does seem quite likely that that's what the Elefantes did

My sister thought Dino Elefante was a funny name- Dinosaur Elephant
