I am not here very often, but when I saw this on Facebook last night I thought of you all. Have you seen this yet? I hadn't until last night.

Is that John Slick on keys? It's been awhile since I've looked at a picture but it didn't seem to click.

Never seen this before, never even heard of its existence. Weird.

I think it's Rob Watson. He was with the band shortly between Slick and Lawry, but never recorded with them. Not entirely sure though. Same Rob Watson who was in Daniel Amos, so maybe someone with great ID skills can compare old Daniel Amos photographs to this guy.

Anyway, strange that none of us Petra diehards have ever seen this before. It makes me wonder if it was ever widely distributed or put on the air. Would MTV have touched something like this, even back in the early 80's?

And that is the stage rig with lights that Kerry Livgren from Kansas gave to Petra to use when Kansas quit its John Elefante incarnation.

This is very cool! Amazing something that old and not known makes an appearance after all these years.

My first thought was “that doesn’t look like any pictures of John Slick I’ve ever seen.”

Then Greg responded to the question of who was on keys. Although I don’t think it’s John and Greg isn’t remembering correctly, even though you’d think if you worked and traveled with a guy for 3-4 years you’d know what he looks like. But again, that’s been what, 35 years ago?

It would be great if jmslick set the record straight. His profile shows that he's still active here from time to time but no longer chimes in.
