An interesting note is that not one song off God Fixation ended up on the Farewell album.

God Fixation
The thing with God Fixation is that "If I Had to Die for Someone" is good and "St. Augustine's Pears" is really good. Pears is so good in fact that I think it could go head to head with just about any other Petra song. It's at least a 9... but the rest of the album is just not up to the Petra standard. In reviewing it on Wikipedia I was not at all surprised to learn that much of is was indeed written by people other than Bob. Contrast that if you will with Hyde I'm not sure but do think that most of it was composed by Bob.
As I'm fond of saying, God Fixation is a very good album, it's just not a very good Petra album.

This was a difficult choice due to the fact that 3 of my top 5 Petra albums are in this poll; BB, WUC, & JAH are instant classics in my book. I went with WUC.

By BB Tour, I think they pretty much dropped those songs off the set-list, but I I could be corrected.

I wonder why? There's some good songs on that album. "You Are I Am" would have fit perfectly in the rock medley.

There were a few good songs, but I think the album was way too keyboard dominated. The guitars were used more as harmony for the keyboard melodies IMO.

I am surprised there are no votes for Jekyll & Hyde. I thought people loved that album.

J&H is excellent, but not as good as BB.

It's a great album, but not as good as Wake Up Call. 8)

In my perfect alternate reality, Petra would have semi-retired after Wake Up Call and then came roaring back a decade later with Jekyll & Hyde

As I said it really isn't comparable to the 90s stuff. It was a different time and different Petra
