Farewell Petra + John Lawry in Missouri

Anyone else going? It's a two-hour drive from St Louis where I live, which is probably the closest I've ever been geographically to a Petra concert. I just bought tickets for myself and the family.
Although the group formally disbanded in 2006, members Bob Hartman, John Schlitt, John Lawry, Cristian Borneo and Greg Bailey have reunited again for this one-of-a-kind show at the Music Theatre!

I would, but a 36 hour drive is a bit too much

I think 3 hours driving is all I can manage for an out of town concert. This sounds like a great show. I hope they draw a big crowd.

Same here! I can't be there, but I'll be there in Spirit!

This isn't Farewell Petra if Christian is playing.

They won't likely draw a "large" crowd on their own being so far from a major market, unless they start blasting out some marketing bigtime. The venue's big draw seems to be their gospel and country music. But, more power to them.

I have attended most of the non-festival MO shows over the last 10 years and they have never been larger than a couple of hundred. I have been to the Schlitt and Shclitt + Elefonte shows, even mixed a couple, and they were mostly the same. The exception was a church show (not really advertised or marketed to the public). That one was packed with about 800 people.

My mom is going to Missouri in September next year for some book thing-- perhaps she could go twice, one to Petra and the second to see her favorite author(s)?? 8)

I'm taking the chance of asking her

Looks as if they've already sold around 220 reserved tickets for the show, not counting General Admission sales. I've been keeping up with it in hopes of being able to go soon, but it's over 12 hours away. Anyway, good news on the tickets front.
