Used Petra CDS?

Post by wildmanpetra » Mon Nov 25, 2019 7:57 am

Hey all, what is the best place you have found to get used Petra Cd’s (or other Christian 80s bands like whitecross, Barren Cross, Bloodgood, etc.).?
I’m trying to rebuild my former cassette collection with CDs....

https://www.discogs.com/

Most- if not all of- my Petra CDs are from this website- I still have some to get and a few are at my nearest CD shop but otherwise the majority of my collection are from discogs or the shop 😉

Unless your heart is set on physical media, downloads are a legitimate option. My favorite site is Qobuz.com where you can purchase music in CD quality FLAC files if you want the best possible sound quality.

He could always burn the FLAC files to CD. But I suppose it depends on why he's looking for CDs. If it's just for the music then downloads are a perfectly viable alternative unless he wants the "total experience" of holding physical media and liner notes in his hands.

Yeah I suppose, but if I were him and I wanted the music I would say that.

I haven't been to any thrift or antique stores lately, but I often find lots of Christian music there. I've seen Petra CDs a few times. Yard sales can also be gold mines for old Christian stuff. I will keep my eyes out. Stuff like Barren Cross, Bloodgood, Mastedon; I got them from eBay. They were not cheap. Some stuff is harder to find.

Yeah, the cheapest I could find for Back To The Street was $21.50- I was surprised and disappointed, and I had no choice but to buy it for that much. Other stuff, like my copy of Unseen Power, or Beyond Belief, was very cheap, $3-5. 🤷‍♀️

I've seen amazing bargains on CDs at thrift stores. Unfortunately, it always seem to be stuff I already own.
