Are we including Mark in the “Dream Team” now?

Louie and I discussed this years ago. Pro video shoots of concerts was/is expensive. According to Louie, the only other unused concert footage they have is from the show previous to the two-day CITAS shoot and it was a dub from master. He said it was actually a better show, but it has a board mix. They didn't have masters for it, because it was a tech run-through. He has some other shows on video, but they were not professionally shot and they had board mixes. As far as he knew, he was the only one who had them and there were no multi-track masters.

I suppose it depends on which "Dream Team" you're talking about. For me, there are two:

Greg Volz
Bob Hartman
John Slick
Mark Kelly
Louie Weaver

and

John Schlitt
Bob Hartman
John Lawry
Ronny Cates
Louie Weaver

I don't expect there are any multitrack recordings outside of Captured in Time and Space, but even board mixes could be made "album worthy" with proper EQ.

When I met up with Bob Hartman early last month to pick up my custom guitar, he mentioned that they are discussing the possibility of doing a 50th anniversary concert in Indiana next year. Hoping and praying for it!

That might be cool. Depends on the line-up, sounds like a 74 band gig though.

I know it's a dream, but it sure would be great if each major era could throw out a 7 or 8 live song set for a huge double album for the 50th, with the songs voted on by the fans. I can't imagine the kind of work that would entail though. Maybe we could finally get the 1974 Petra playing their original version of "Killing My Old Man".

Stranz Van Waldenberg : No. Dreams are in your sleep.

I think that Rockin' on with Jesus that was never released could be included in a 50th CD Dvd !

Hopefully they record it and release it as an album. That can be done dirt cheap -- relatively speaking -- with digital distribution through a site like Band Camp (Phil Keaggy has hundreds of albums for sale on his Band Camp page). A digital release also removes the need to limit the length of an album to only what will fit on a CD, so they could conceivably release the entire concert, uncut.
