Petra cassettes

Is there anyway to find Petra tapes that aren't $16 a piece?? I have CDs from Back to the Street to
Petra Praise 2: We Need Jesus. But I would like to replace them all with tapes. So if anyone wants to make a trade or sell them or something, maybe like 16 for all the tapes (2 is about the price of a cassette normally…) instead of $128 for all of them
Let me know if you'd like to do either a trade or sell them.
They're all in good condition, they play fine, only Unseen Power has a crack on the front of the case.
I'm no longer looking for Beyond Belief.

Why on earth would you ever want to listen to tapes?

I have only one Petra cassette: Beyond Belief. I have all the albums on CD and some on vinyl.

My cassette is just sitting there and will likely never get played again so I am willing to send it to you free of charge. Just PM me to make arrangements.

Are you still collecting tapes? I have Petra 1974 & Washes White Than on tape. I think I paid $14 (Australian dollars) for WWT back in 1996 they were already becoming expensive back then.

I am, actually, but I'm not looking for those two at the moment. If I change my mind I'll let you know. Thanks though!!

Years ago I was at a Stryper show in Houston and was chatting up the other patrons around me. One guy was also a Petra fan and we started talking about our favorite albums. The conversation started out nice, but then the dude said something peculiar. I mentioned that I did not like the overall sound of a few Petra CD releases and he said that he took his original cassettes, remastered them (I bet he just ran them through a basic EQ), and burned them to CD. I mentioned to him that there is no way this could sound better than a cd and he wouldn't hear it. In his view the best sound was achieved by tweaking the EQ on cassettes. So....I guess that is a reason some folks listen to cassettes in the year 2021. (I stayed away from the guy during the concert as he said a few other things that made me question his sanity)

I don't mind a speck how they sound! I just like novelty of listening to a tape. That's all

I do kind of miss the test tone(s) at the beginning of cassettes. It was a good forewarning if you had your volume turned up too loud.

I'll admit, it has been many, many years since I've listened to any of my Petra CDs.

But that's only because my music collection exists as CD quality FLAC files that I listen to through my digital music player.

Well I'm trading, so everything is free but then I want the cassette in return.
